Doors Closing Soon

Aug 21, 2026
Socials:

The Friendly Filmmaker Community testing phase is almost over!

Last Chance

Over a year ago, Friendly Filmmaker launched the Friendly Filmmaker Community on the newly refurbished website.

Since then, slowly but surely, we've been growing the Community on the new platform. Away from ads, bots, and algorithms, we've been forming new contacts, sharing gigs faster than even in this newsletter, and making cool projects together.

As we've hammered out some kinks, and even launched our first app together, it's become clear that the Beta Phase is coming to an end.

But before we open up the Community to a wider audience, there are a couple more features to add.

So, on SEPTEMBER 1st, the Beta is officially over and the community sign up page on the site will close. No one will be able to join until we re-open the doors to the Public.

If you want to join before that point, and be locked in at $2/mo forever, NOW IS THE TIME.

If you have a link, use it!
If you have a coupon code, click on it!

And, to this list only, if you WANT to see what we built, reply to this email and we'll send you a code to try one month free before you decide.

I'm not making ads, or public posts, or mentions on Social Media. This is the final bell for the Friendly Filmmaker community we've built here over the past 3 years of this newsletter.

Filmmaker Ryan Nunes and writer/actor Paul Kandarian are making a new film that promises to be spectacular.

The film follows Gizzy, a grad student visiting her grandparents while carrying the weight of a deeply personal decision. Nervous and afraid of being judged, she turns to her grandmother for support, but their conversation reveals the complicated divide between love, faith, fear, and acceptance.
