Socials:

THANK YOU

This week has seen a lot of trouble shooting on the community platform and I wanted to publicly thank everyone who submitted a form, sent an email, or texted me to ask a question. Every problem solved makes the site more awesome for everyone! Every teeny optimization matters, and makes us grow. Thank you.

FF MEMBERS PERKS

I don’t know about you, but it’s refreshing to get away from algorithms and ads and just geek out about film stuff! AND get primo access to gigs and news!

In other words, it’s working.

If you want to join the community, reply to this email and we’ll figure out how you can kick the tires for yourself.

As a reminder, only the first 100 people are going to enjoy $2/mo for as long as they stay. After that, the doors will close for a long time, and when they reopen again, the price will be $5/mo to join.

Fellow local independent filmmaker, Lyria Garcia, is making a documentary “3 Thousand Letters” — a story following the plight of JP, a Brazilian immigrant who arrived in 1999 only to face the complex U.S. Immigration System.

After years of dead ends with lawyers, he took matters into his own hands—writing 3,179 letters to the White House, pleading for amnesty and reform.
